Company History

HouseSalDan Developments Ltd. is a company rich with local history, helping shape and build the communities we serve throughout our years of conducting business. Below you will see a list of few of our milestones and acclomplishments over the years.

• Built in excess of 1000 single family homes in Sault Ste. Marie in a span of 20 years to date.

• Renovated over 50,000 sq feet of commercial rental space in the Sault Ste. Marie to date.

• Norcam, Currency Exchange Building, 303 Cathcart Street - Design & Build.

• Crystal Creek Hydro Electric Generating Plant for Kinsmen Club of Sault Ste. Marie.

• The Hillside Centre, 30,000 sq foot mini-mall. 71 Black Road, Sault Ste. Marie. Including. planning and servicing.

• Two four-unit apartment buildings, 424 Parliament Street and 215 Turner Avenue, Sault Ste. Marie. Design & Build.

• Minelli's Restaurant - 10,000 sq foot banquet hall, Sault Ste. Marie. General Contractor.

• One eight-unit apartment building for Neech-Ke-Wehn Homes Inc. Sault Ste. Marie. Completed in 1991. Design & Build.

• Forty-unit townhouse co-op for Vesta Co-Operative Homes Inc. Sault Ste. Marie. Completed in 1991. Including planning & site services.

• The new Blind River Marina, comleted March 1992. General Contractor.

• Sixteen-unit apartment complex for the Little Current Elderly Housing Corporation, Little Current. Completed September 1992. General Contractor.

• Eighteen-unit apartment project for the White River Senior's Housing Project, White River. Completed September 1992. General Contractor.

• Forty-unit townhouse project for the Michipicoten Housing Corporation, Wawa. Completed September 1992. General Contractor.

• Twelve-unit apartment building for the Chapleau Community Living Housing Corporation, Chapleau. Completed December 1991. General Contractor.

• Ten home project for the Urban Native Co-Operative, Wawa. Completed September 1992. Design & Build.

• Thirteen house project for the Cochrane Temiskaming Native Housing Corporation, Chapleau. General Contractor.

• Bianchi Estates - 90 lot residential subdivision, Sault Ste. Marie. Started spring 1992. Including planning and servicing.

• Sixty-unit apartment building for Robin's Nest Co-Operative Homes Inc, Sudbury. Completed December 1992. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 42-unit townhouse with a 10 unit apartment building for Aile-Nord Co-Operative Homes Inc., Sudbury. Completed October 1992. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• Sixty-unit apartment building for Pawating Co-Operative Homes Inc, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed September 1993. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• Sixteen-unit seniors project for Neech-Ke-Wehn Homes INc, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed July 1993. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• Thirty-unit townhouse for Antigonish Co-Operative Homes Inc, Sudbury. Completed July 1994. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• Sixty-unit apartment / townhouse for Raiffeisen Co-Operative Homes Inc, Sudbury. Completed October 1994. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 36-unit apartment for Silo Co-Operative Homes Inc, Sudbury. Completed November 1994. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• Forty-unit apartment building for Croatia Housing Association, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed May 1995. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 62-unit residential townhouse complete in Village Court, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed July 1996. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 5,000 sq foot fire hall for the Town of Blind River. Completed November 1997. Design & Build.

• Ten-unit residential townhouse project on Allen Side Road, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed May 1996. Design & Build.

• 42 lot upscale residential subdivision in Parkview Court, Sault Ste. Marie. Started Fall 1996. Including site planning and servicing.

• 44-unit townhouse and single family housing on Lake Street, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed August 1999. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 26-unit townhouse "gated community" in Bridgeview Village, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed August 1999. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 2,500 sq foot store for Mike's Milk, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed October 1999. General Contractor.

• 8,000 sq foot mechanic's repair shop and 5,400 ssq foot warehouse for Mack North, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed December 1999. Design & Build.

• 45-unit upscale residential townhouse project in Parkplace Court, Sault Ste. Marie. Started Spring 2000. Including land p;lanning and site servicing. Design & Build.

• 18-lot residential subdivision in Millennium Court, Sault Ste. Marie. Started Fall 1999. Including site planning and servicing.

• 12,000 sq foot building for a commercial bingo hall and a 3,000 sq foot bar/lounge in the same building on Black Road, Sault Ste. Marie. Completed March 2000. Including land planning and site servicing. Design & Build. This is the first phase of a 40-acre commercial development.

• 68 room motel for the Wurdemann family flying the Super 8 flag ahead of schedule and on budget.

• At the planning stage for phase 2 and 3 for a commercail dvelopment on Black Road for a full service truck stop including a 100 room motel and fast food operation.

• Currently developing Phase 2 of a 67 acre parcel of land for muliple unit residential, Sudbury. Known as Sunrise Ridge Estates.

• At the planning stages of "Mallard Landing", our newest mixed residential subdivision in the Fort Creek area, consisteing of single residentail homes and upscale townhouses incorporated around duck ponds and beaver dams heading into the Fort Creek Convservation Lands.

• Currently at the last phase of the Denwood Subdivision which is comprised of 85 units of double dwellings for the starter family or retirement.

• Completed the Stockyards Shopping Centre on St. Clair Avenue and Keele in Toronto.

• Completed a 3500 sq foot office for Ontario Realty Corporation in Brockville, Ontario.

• Completed the Scottsdale shopping centre at Scottsdale and Stone Road in Guelph, Ontario.

• Completed the Elgin Centre Shopping Plaza at Elgin Street and Canamara Parkway in Cambridge, Ontario.

• Completed yet another unique and large home in excess of 10,000 sq feet on Avenue Road and Bathurst in Toronto, Ontario.

• Completed the Provinces largest LCBO Retail outlet on Avenue Road in Toronto, Ontario.

• Completed and sold out the Lakeview subdivision in Sudbury, Ontario.

• Completed and sold out the 4th phase of Dominion Park Subdivision in Hanmer (Sudbury), Ontario.

• Currently commencing three new subdivisions in and around Sudbury as well as four more new & existing locations in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.

• Currently on the final planning stages of another shopping centre in Woodstock, Ontario.

• Currently completing the RBC office building in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
